Susan Eley Fine Art 433 Warren Street, Hudson NY
“Eighteen” features a body of work in response to the reading of “The 1619 Project” (developed by Nikole Hannah-Jones) reframing the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and contributions of Black Americans as central to our national narrative. The artist attempts to visually impress while encouraging an expanded consideration of a past and present that effect all of us.
